GumDrops Newborn Pacifier

GumDrop's Newborn Pacifiers are made by Hawaii Medical and are made of a polycarbonate shell that is completely encased in medical grade silicone. The pacifier is phthalate and latex free and meets Consumer Product Safety Commission standards for pacifiers. The soft silicone cover rests comfortably against your baby's skin, and is curved to fit your little one's face so the pacifier will not interfere with CPAP tubes and nasal cannulas .The GumDrop's pacifier is lighter than other silicone pacifiers and is made of a single-body construction that will not come apart.

The GumDrop's Pacifier is the perfect fit without trimming. When you cut down a pacifier, it no longer meets US government safety requirements and babies can be put at risk with an unsafe pacifier and the possibility of loose bits of silicone. GumDrop Pacifiers are a safe, soft topped pacifier that has already been designed to fit your baby's face. If your baby becomes big enough to fit the GumDrop Pacifier all the way into his or her mouth, we recommend you stop using it.

The GumDrop Pacifier has a natural nipple shape that helps your child avoid nipple confusion. The American Academy of Pediatrics published guidelines in November 2005 recommending pacifier use for all babies over 3 months of age to help reduce the incidence of SIDS.

Hawaii Medical recommends washing your GumDrop regularly in hot water with mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly before giving to your baby. To sanitize your GumDrop, place in boiling water for two minutes. Make sure to test your pacifier regularly by pulling hard on the nipple and looking for signs of wear and tear or damage. If your pacifier becomes worn or damaged, DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.

BPA Information: The GumDrop Pacifier is made of a polycarbonate inner, but is complete covered by medical grade silicone (which is BPA Free). As long as this silicone remains completely intact, your pacifier is considered safe. Please discontinue use if you notice any signs of silicone wear and tear. The durability of the GumDrop Pacifier depends on your baby's age and the presence or absence of teeth.
